Our homelift has a very small footprint for a domestic lift and due to its compact footprint it can fit anywhere in your house. See here for more information on the dimensions.
The flexibility of our homelifts in regards to where they can be installed makes them stand out compared to other domestic lift options. The small footprint, drive mechanism and self supporting stilts mean that our homelift doesn’t require load bearing walls and therefore can be installed almost anywhere in your home. The options are almost limitless however commonly the homelift is fitted in a hallway or living room and travels upstairs to the landing or bedroom.
Anyone who owns their own home and has mobility issues and/or would like a stylish, and safe way to access up to 3 floors. It is also a new alternative to the clunky stairlifts.
Wheelchair users, carers and relatives have all benefited from the various space saving models we are able to propose. We have helped many home owners to enjoy easy access to upstairs and downstairs by installing a homelift!
Yes, our homelift gives wheelchairs users the freedom and independence they need for the most common models of wheelchairs, but you need to pay attention to weight and dimensions of power chairs. The Trio model is more suited to wheelchair users and is a perfect alternative to a stairlift.
It can be done in one day but more commonly the job is scheduled in two parts. Once the aperture in the ceiling has been prepared by a qualified builder, the lift can be put into place in less than a day.
All our homelifts are fitted with extra features to ensure the safety of the user. This includes sensors that can detect obstructions above and below the lift and smoothly stop the car. They are also fitted with lights and a full height curtain which ensures nothing crosses into or out of the lift as it travels. Our homelift is safer than a stairlift as there are examples of bad installation and mechanical failures as well as user error which have led to severe injuries for stairlift users.
If there is ever an issue with power in your home the lift will be able to continue as they are all equipped as standard with a battery back-up facility. This will allow the user of the lift to descend to the lower level of their home and once the power is restored they can use the lift again. There is also an option at an extra cost to equip your lift with an uninterrupted power supply in the event of power loss and thus will allow several trips up and down even when the power is out.
